ALGIERS – Minister of the Interior and Local Assemblies Noureddine Bedoui declared Tuesday in Algiers that the new administrative reorganization as part of the creation of sub-provinces will  concern the High Plateaus region in 2016 and the North in 2017.

In his opening address to a training session for the executives of the National School of Telecommunications, the minister called on the School officials to speed up the supervision of the provinces covered by the reorganization.

The sub-provinces t be created in the northern part of Algeria will follow the 10 sub-provinces already created last June in the south of the country: Timimoun, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Beni Abbas, Ouled Djalal, Ain Salah, Ain Guezzam, Touggourt, Djanet, M’ghir and Golea.

The minister reiterated the ministry’s determination to accompany this training centre to heighten it to the rank of a School of Excellence, stressing its role in the implementation of the strategy on the Algerian administration modernization and the decentralization in terms of documents issuance, in which 50% of objectives were reached.

He called for more efforts to finalize the operation during 2015.

The objective of the creation of this card which will include two electronic chips and multiple applications “is to reduce administrative operations for the citizen,” he underscored.

This card will “make possible a balanced economic management”, organize operations relating to social aid for the benefit of the needy categories and to put an end to manipulation,” he stressed.
